Answer

Yes, we charge fines for overdue items as follows:

Late items

There is an overdue charge of 20 cents a day per item except:

  • videos, Views, and Launchpad tablets incur a charge of $1.00 per day per item
  • Storytime to Go kits incur a late charge of $5.00 per day

The maximum fine for most formats is $5.00 per item, with the exception of Storytime to Go kits' maximum fine of $25.00.

E-media

Since ebooks, streaming videos, and the like will never be late, there are no late fines on them.

Damaged, lost, or long overdue items

We charge the standard list price for lost or damaged items. You may pay replacement costs or present an acceptable replacement copy for damaged items. Replacement copies for loss or damage must be in new condition and a newer edition if applicable. Unsuitable items may be declined for replacement.
