Q. Why is Kanopy prompting for a PIN?

Beginning April 7, 2026 Kanopy requires your library password in addition to your library card number. Kanopy refers to it as a PIN, but it is the password for your library account. Follow these steps to save your password at Kanopy:

• Go to www.kanopy.com and sign in to your Kanopy account.
• Select the menu button (a square icon next to your name showing your first initial) in the top-right corner and go to My Account > My Libraries.
• Select ••• next to a library, then select Edit.
• After selecting Edit, you can update your library credentials. Select Save to save your changes.
