Answer

Yes, we call our service Books for the Homebound but it's not just books.

Eligibility

This free service is for adult Knox County residents who are unable to come to the library without assistance due to a permanent or temporary disability and have no one to pick up materials for them.

Materials

  • books
  • books on compact disc
  • music compact discs
  • movies

Patrons in the Books for the Homebound program with a compatible device also have access to our collections of downloadable ebooks, audiobooks, and streaming video.

Selections

Every effort will be made to fill your requests. If requested materials are unavailable, selections will be made based on your reading preferences.

Delivery

Once a month on a regular schedule a volunteer will bring your delivery and pick up your previous month's materials for return to the library.

Enroll

Contact Books for the Homebound by calling (865) 215-8721, or via email at homebound@knoxlib.org to see if you qualify. Participation may be dependent on volunteer availability.
